I caught ✨COVID✨ again! The next Anxiety will be up on Patreon next week instead of this one, because I need my brain to be working when I edit things and make PDFs or I end up lying under my desk moaning about default save destinations in Microsoft. Following through on that it’ll be here on WordPress the week after, so keep an eye on the site/your inbox on the 22nd for A Pound of Flesh.
In other updates my 2024 resolution to actually submit entries to the short story competitions and publications I keep bookmarking and forgetting about is going well! I’ve submitted three, and already heard back about the first. If I win anything I’ll be sure to crow about it suitably over here. Anything published on another platform will get linked back to the stories masterpost in the top bar as well, you won’t be able to make me shut up about it, I promise.
The novel is going really well! I’m on track for an 85, 000 word (or so) finish and should have more news about its progress in a couple of months. I’ve promised myself that once I finish and start shopping it around like a real boy I can buy myself an actual domain for this website (last I checked WordPress was letting you use the .gay domains, which is promising). One of the big asks of finishing will be going back in and propping up my endgame plot, but it also looks like it’s going to be deeply satisfying as well so I’m looking forward to it.
Housemate River had the audacity to open her mouth and give me a really good idea for a supernatural thriller, so if I disappear for three months and come back ranting about private detectives, you know who to blame. I hope we’re all having a good year and see you again in a couple of weeks!
